CARROLL AND PARKINGTON DOUBLE UP

The Carphone Warehouse Networks powering TalkTalk Club Formula Ford Championship contenders made their first ever visit to Cadwell Park over the weekend 14th / 15th June and many were wide eyed at the challenge the Lincolnshire circuit posed. After two challenging racedays, Graham Carroll's two wins had taken the young Scotsman to 95 points to lie just two points behind Leicester's David Grady and three points ahead of Irishman Peter Barrable in the National title chase. Sundays race was marred by a race stoppage when Neil Patten rolled his Van Diemen at Charlies Bend. Club Formula Ford are pleased to report that Neil discharged himself from Grimsby Hospital the same night with nothing more serious than a severe bruising.   In the Carphone Warehouse Networks powering TalkTalk Club Formula Ford  Pre90 Cup, Nigel Thompson and Doug Crosbie - the two main title protagonists - suffered weekends to forget amassing just one 10th place finish between them {Crosbie} and the spoils on both days were taken by North West contender and Pre87 class leader Ian Parkington in his Reynard 84FF. Thompson still leads from Crosbie 91 to 84 points, whilst Parkington and Bob Wyke, Reynard 89FF - who skipped the Brands an Mallory races - have vaulted up to third place withon 69 and 56 points respectively.
